Chad J. Zubrod, D.V.M., M.S., DACVS

Dr. Zubrod graduated with honors from Iowa State University in 2000 and performed an equine surgery and medicine internship with Dr. Major and Dr. Hague, which was completed in 2001.

In May of 2004, Dr. Zubrod received a Master's of Science in Veterinary Science from Washington State University. Dr. Zubrod completed and Equine Surgery Residency at Washington State University in June of 2004 and is now a Board Certified Equine Surgeon.

Dr. Zubrod has a special interest in orthopedic sports medicine and surgery, with particular emphasis on lameness diagnosis, imaging and treatment. Dr. Zubrod has been a speaker at several local, state, and national meetings, on subjects ranging from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the equine distal limb to osteoarthritis of the distal hock joints. Washington State University was the first location in the world to utilize MRI to diagnose lameness problems in horses, and Dr. Zubrod adds this valuable experience to Oakridge Equine Hospital.

Dr. Brakenhoff graduated from Kansas State University. He completed his Residency Program at Michigan State University and is now a board certified equine surgeon.
