Dr. Brent Hague is a native of Oklahoma that received his DVM from Oklahoma State University in 1993. Following graduation he became an associate in an equine practice in central Oklahoma until being accepted into a surgery residency at Texas A & M. He completed his surgery training and became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 1998.
Son of a fourth generation farmer/rancher, Dr. Hague and his wife grew up in northwestern Oklahoma both raised in families supported by raising wheat, alfalfa, and cattle. Dr. Hague and his wife now live on a small farm east of Edmond with their 4 boys. He enjoys working with his sons in the hay field and dabbling with his registered Angus hobby. Other personal interests include spending time helping his sons show cattle, watching them rope, hunting and fishing.
Dr. Hague’s professional interests are sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, laser surgery, and orthopedics. He enjoys the opportunity to share his experience with fellow equine practitioners by taking part in clinical research, and public speaking. Most recently he has been involved in advances in bone marrow derived stem cell therapy in equine athletes.
Dr. Hague and his partner, Mike Major, DVM founded their referral equine surgery practice, Oakridge Equine Hospital, PC, in February 2003. Their goal was to provide clients with the latest technology and expertise available to diagnose and treat the equine athlete. They have continued to strive toward excellence in the field of equine surgery and medicine by surrounding themselves with talented veterinary associates and knowledgeable staff.

Dr. Zubrod graduated with honors from Iowa State University in 2000 and performed an equine surgery and medicine internship with Dr. Major and Dr. Hague, which was completed in 2001.
In May of 2004, Dr. Zubrod received a Master’s of Science in Veterinary Science from Washington State University. Dr. Zubrod completed and Equine Surgery Residency at Washington State University in June of 2004 and is now a Board Certified Equine Surgeon.
Dr. Zubrod has a special interest in orthopedic sports medicine and surgery, with particular emphasis on lameness diagnosis, imaging and treatment. Dr. Zubrod has been a speaker at several local, state, and national meetings, on subjects ranging from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the equine distal limb to osteoarthritis of the distal hock joints. Washington State University was the first location in the world to utilize MRI to diagnose lameness problems in horses, and Dr. Zubrod adds this valuable experience to Oakridge Equine Hospital.
He is also a faculty member of AOVET, the global network of surgeons and scientists dedicated to advancing the practice of fracture repair, research and education.
Originally from Iowa, Dr. Zubrod now resides on an acreage near Guthrie with his wife and two children. Together they have breed and raise percheron horses, having 6 to 8 foals each spring. In his spare time during the spring and summer, he enjoys training and competing with a 6 horse hitch of black percheron mares, at shows throughout the US.

Dr. Jeff Brakenhoff comes from an agricultural background and is originally from Nebraska. He completed his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 from Kansas State University. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. B. teamed up with Dr. Hague and Dr. Major to work at Oakridge as part of the original internship program.
Later he attended Michigan State University where he completed his large animal surgery residency in 2007. That is also where he met his wife Katie, who was completing her veterinary technician bachelor’s degree program. On special occasions, he teams up with his wife to work with small animals. Dr. Brakenhoff enjoys spending his free-time with his wife and their two young children. He is an avid sports fan, particularly when it comes to Husker football. Go Big Red!
Dr. B. is a board certified equine surgeon who you are most likely to meet at an emergency visit, but is also available for daytime appointments. His professional interests include fracture repair, upper airway disease, and colic.

Dr. Lauren Lamb is a native of North Dakota and graduated from veterinary school at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science in 2007. Following graduation, Dr. Lamb did an internship and surgery residency at Oakridge Equine Hospital. He became a board certified diplomat of the American College of Veterinarian Surgeons in 2012. In 2012 Dr. Lamb accepted a position as an assistant clinical professor of large animal soft tissue surgery at Texas A&M University. He held this position until 2015, at which time Dr. Lamb moved back to Oklahoma to accept an associate surgeon position at Oakridge Equine Hospital.
Dr. Lamb’s professional interest include minimally invasive surgery, respiratory surgery, sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He enjoys the opportunity to participate in clinical research and speak at national, state and local meetings
Dr. Lamb resides in Edmond, OK with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid hunter and spends most of his free time in the fall sitting in a duck blind or deer stand.
