Dr. Austin Haws, a graduate of Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, was born in Saratoga Springs, Utah. He pursued a degree in Biology at Utah Valley University before starting veterinary school. As part of his state’s veterinary program, he completed the initial two years of veterinary school at Utah State University, followed by a move to Washington State University for the final two years.  He has planned on becoming an equine veterinarian since he began working in the field as a high school student. He has a strong passion for surgery but enjoys all aspects of equine-related work including theriogenology and sports medicine. In his free time, he appreciates spending time with his wife and chasing around his young son. Austin also enjoys his various hobbies such as, leatherworking, hunting, and riding his motorcycle.
