Dr. Jaden Salas was raised in northern New Mexico and Utah. He earned his pre-veterinary degree from Utah State University before attending veterinary school. As part of the Utah veterinary program, he completed two years of veterinary training at Utah State University before transferring to Washington State University to complete his veterinary degree. Inspired by time spent with his sister, Kyra, Jaden developed a lifelong passion for horses during his undergraduate years, leading him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He is particularly passionate about equine internal medicine, with interests in critical care, neonatology, pulmonary disease, hepatic disease and equine emergency medicine. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, fishing, and camping with his two dogs, Hobbs and Raven, and his husband, Cody.
