Dr. Jerrik Burson is originally from Gainesville, Texas. Upon Graduating high school he attended Southern Nazarene University as a student athlete, where he received a Bachelors in Biology and Chemistry in 2020. Since he originally started his undergraduate program tracking human medicine, he completed an Equine Science Associates at North Central Texas College between his bachelors and starting veterinary school to build up clinical experience and complete prerequisites for his veterinary school application. He attended veterinary school at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. Jerrik’s professional interests include all aspects of equine practice with a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, riding horses, fishing, and hunting.
