Dr. Makaela Hedberg is originally from central Kansas where she grew up participating in rodeo and local horse shows. She received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Kansas State University in 2020 followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2025. Dr. Hedberg is especially interested in sports medicine and hopes to pursue a surgical residency in the future. In her personal time, she enjoys riding her horses, reading, and traveling.
