Dr. Samuel Millard graduated from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Before starting veterinary school, he earned his Bachelor's in Animal Science from Iowa State University. Originally born in Illinois, but moved to Iowa during high school.

In early high school, he started working in the equine industry. Originally not planning to pursue veterinary medicine, but because he really enjoyed working outside with horses & clients and didn't want to give it up, he changed his major the summer before starting undergrad from computer engineering to animal science.

Professionally, he is interested in pursuing further training in equine medicine and surgery during his internship. Afterward, likely entering general practice in Iowa, though potentially pursuing residency.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his dog (Ellie), riding his motorcycle, and training a few different competitive shooting disciplines.
