Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences - 2018 & 2023 Dr. Sara Wist is a native Arizonan, her interest in equine medicine started at a very young age. She completed a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Science with an equine emphasis at the University of Arizona with a minor in Business. She has completed a Master’s degree in Microbiology at Colorado State University in 2018, she remained at Colorado State to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. During her veterinary education at Colorado State, Dr. Wist completed her acupuncture certification at CuraCore Veterinary Academy. After graduation, she completed a year long internship in 2023-2024 with Oakridge and has decided to stay on an additional year to further her training. Dr. Wist’s professional interests include, sports medicine and lameness, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine. Dr. Wist is currently living in Edmond, OK, with her husband and two goofy pitties. When not in the hospital, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking and crocheting.
