Dr. Carla Garcia Ocegueda was born in Mexico City, graduated from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), and obtained her veterinary degree in 2025. Her veterinary experience began at the UNAM Equine Teaching Hospital since 2023, she then completed a three-month externship at a private equine practice in Wisconsin, she had worked in private practice shadowing doctors in surgery, sports medicine, equine dentistry, and reproduction in Mexico, and completed an externship at Oakridge Equine Hospital last year.

Her fluency in both English and Spanish language has given her the opportunity to work in both countries.

Her primary interest in veterinary medicine is equine surgery, particularly soft tissue and colic surgery. 

At home, she enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend and friends.
